Brighton KOA

Postby WGF3 » Mon Jul 23, 2012 10:14 am

This is our 3rd time staying here, each time with a different trailer. This past weekend the place was pretty much full. Typical KOA style sites, we had a full hook-up back in site this time. They guide you to your site and will help back you in (which usually saves an argument with DW).Trees were behind our site, level pad. 401 noise wasn't bad as you are up on top of a hill. The owners have done a lot of upgrades over the past few years and were installing new playground equipment on the weekend. Picked up somethng like 30 digital TV channels, most from across the lake in NY (Buffalo, Rochester etc.)

Only problem we had was being delayed 1 hour as we couldn't shut off the park water to the trailer, the tap broke inside and we waited until the KOA people did a temporary fix so we could unhook the trailer.

We are Ottawa bound in the future and need an overnight on the way. This might do.

Thanks!

We have stayed a couple of times - both in the fall. Actually one was on Thanksgiving weekend - 80 degrees and sunshine. The views over the fall colours and the lake were beautiful. Campground was very quiet. Everything clean and well cared for. Easy off the 401 and lots to see and do in the area.

Brighton KOA is now our weekend place. We use to go to Marmora but is is getting run down. I did hear Marmora put in new playground equipment but that won't help it. The Brighton KOA is a great park with a heated pool, very new playground equipment and a staff that goes out of their way to help.
