Pine Grove / Twin Grove KOA

This park is NOT your run of the mill KOA. Far from it in fact. It has the standard fare for KOA, full hookup, wifi, pool etc, but their level of customer service is simply outstanding. The staff seem to actually care and do everything in their power to make your stay enjoyable. This is reflected by their President's awards.

Speficially for us, our site was more than large enough, reasonably level and provided us a perfect home base. Water pressure was great, and consistent, and the on site sewer was well placed. Power was ample with 30/50 and 2 X 15A. Power was very reliable (except when the edge of the hurricane hit ). There was little privacy but that is to be expected. However, sites along the perimeter of the CG were treed (minus the ones with crushed trailers of course).

The pool and water slide were nice and easily accessible, the COMPLETELY fenced leash free zone was fantastic and we used it several times. Perfect for the DK9's. They had an arcade, amusement park rides (yes I am not kidding), a fitness centre, restaurant, ice cream bar, playground etc etc. All for a nightly fee that is cheaper than OPP.

It is located about 5 minutes off an Interstate and within 30 minutes of Hershey, PA and Pottsville.

I'll post some pictures later, but I would definitely recommend this park to anyone.

I will be posting some pictures as soon as I get a chance, but I wanted to post a follow up. After our visit I received an invitation to fill out a survey on the park, which I did. I always try and provide positive feedback when it is due. Well today I received a response from the park manager, with an attached letter:

Dear Valued Camper:

Thank you for your recent visit to the Twin Grove Resort & Campground. We are glad you had a great time here with us and we would like to see you again! As a thank you for filling out, and returning the camper survey we would like to extend a 15% discount on your next stay with us. This discount is good for a Monday – Thursday stay only, and expires December 31, 2011. When you call to make your reservation and to redeem this offer just mention this letter!


We wish you and your family well and we hope to see you again soon!
