We stayed here the weekend of 17th - 19th of Sept. We were also here last year at the same time, but in the group area in a tent. Last year we woke up to a frost on the Saturday morning and my butane backpack stove would not start until I warmed up the fuel can!!! This year we were in the trailer, nice and cosy warm in the fully serviced area
...site 58, in the Maple Lane area.
The site was $48 ish per night. Simillar to Ont Parks, but with elec water and sewer.
It was a nice size, a decent distance from the neighbours and no extension cords required. Gravel to park on, with decent grass and a fire pit and a picnic table.
Washrooms were ok, showeres cost 25cents, and one tenting friend said a nice shower could be had for 50cents. I dont really have a problem with pay showers, especially at 25cents. Keeps the crowds down a bit and helps keep showers a bit shorter!
The lake is very nice. There are canoe rentals.
This park is very scenic and has been used in a few movies. Actually last year we were there when the "Camp Rock 2 " was being filmed there. We had to be out of certain areas when the Hollywood types were doing their thing.
We would go back to this park, and actually plan on visiting a few others in the GRCA next year.
My 2 cents
