If so, yeah...there are some larger sites in there.

[doh]

Just looked at the map Born2camp linked too....

yes those are the sites I had in mind.

Although I've never camped in there, YES those sites in Tamarac will fit the "Greater then 30 foot Club".

Sorry for the bad advice

Thanks. Booking site 33. Daughter wants to bring her BF, so we have to take 2 vehicles, hence, we want something close to the homestead.

Again, thanks for the replies.

I've been there in season, will NEVER EVER go back. Too busy. Lake is blah.

If you do go have fun. That area is a little on the tight side though.

We went this past weekend and dispite the rain, enjoyed it. We were on site 33, a little short but a good spotter can put you right on the back so a 30' will fit. The site was crushed gravel and uneven, it took 4 lego blocks on the passenger side to level it out. There were some nicer spots- 31, 35, 23, .. that are longer and larger out the side for dogs and such.

The park is large and 95% full. Although there were a lot of peeps, it didn't affect us- we used our own facilities, did our own thing, so that wasn't an issue. There is a second dump station right at the toilets where we were. Its not advertised, I actually think its the pump-out port for the honey wagon but we saw a lot of users, so we used that Sunday morning so there was no line up at all.

Oh, speaking of toilets, these ones closest to us were flush and very clean. Odd. I noticed though that the sink outside drained right to the ground!! Not to the holding tank or any septic bed. Again, odd.

A lot of trails for walking, jogging, biking. Bridge for fishing. Camp store was expensive for ice cream and worms, but oh well.

We noticed that there was a lot of house flies where we were. Could have been the humid weather and awning to explain why they were all grouping around us, there was no food or dead animals, so I am not really sure. Just an annoyance.

We would go back, hopefully on a sunny weekend next time.

Wasn't aware of that, but making a mental note!

Perhaps we'll try Ironwood or Tamarack vs the original pull through CG next time we are there.

It rained where I was too :(

Where I was (site 33), I actually parked across the road. It was dead silent at night time (radio free does that I guess). No traffic, the occasional biker.

Greg- yah, kinda cool really that secret dump station. Especially on a busy Sunady morn!! Right at the outhouses, to the right, there is a 5" white cap- pop that up and off and dump away. There is a water hose, you have to go to the left of the outhouse to turn it on, the valve is under the sink. I am not sure if that is pottable water though. There is drinking water at the main dump station I saw.
