I don't know about a reciprocating agreement. There may be.

The on-line text has changed from last year. IIRC, last year's web showed a second limiting factor- a 10,000 kg GVW as well as the 24.5m length. There was also metion of recripcals with other Provinces. No mention of States though, so I would assume a hard NO on that.

I think I printed this stuff out last year, now to find it....

Well that pretty much takes you out to the max length and weight for a G license here in Ontario anyway. Last time I measure for a ferry I was around 53' and 17000lbs so I got some wiggle room yet

We checked into the Chi-Cheemaun ferry last year with the double... ah, NO!

High Vehicles (vehicles 2.59m / 8.5ft and higher)

Vehicles between 4.27m / 14ft and 6.1m / 20ft long $75.90
Over-Length: over 6.1m / 20ft, per foot extra $5.25

At 61 feet, that would be $291, PLUS reservation fee ($12) PLUS passenger fees ($54). In other words, no.

Yup took it last year to Manitoulin for TB's DS's wedding since we were at the Pinery. Driving all the way from the Pinery to Manitoulin Island made absolutly NO sence both from a time and fuel saving point of view so it really was a wash cost wise. Heck I'd have blown my bearings on the way up instead of the way back which would have made me late for the wedding!!!

Now the ferry over to Nfld.............ouch.
