I stopped to weigh the trailer on the way back from camping this weekend (the guy running the scale was a bit of a prick, but anyway...)
My weights:
No Firewood
All Tanks Empty
Light load in the bed
Trailer Dry Weight sticker from factory - 4774
WEIGHT - RATING - ACTUAL
Front Axle - 3750 - 3263
Rear Axle - 3850 - 3792
Trailer Axles (both combined) - 7000 - 5049
Trlr Gross Weight - 7481 - ? (need accurate tongue weight measurement as well)
TV Gross Weight (Hitched) - 7200 - 7055
TV Gross Weight (Unhitched) - 7200 - 6305 (Measured on a different scale)
Gross Combined - 14000 - 12104
I'm close to my rear axle rating, and this is with no water, firewood, or beer on board. Weights leaving town will be higher for sure. Do you think I need to adjust the WDH to get more weight forward? I've got less than 150lbs to spare on the truck, but quite a bit of room in the trailer, front axle, and my gross combined.
It would make sense to move about 100-150lbs to the front axle, no???
