What is our poor newuser Dennis going to think with us dragging his first post down the drain (literally)

My apologies Dennis.

It would appear you do not have heated tanks, but as Shum mentioned there are experienced folks here that have added heaters and can assist you.

If you indeed do not have heated tanks, then adding that function is straightforward enough. In fact 2 members here have installed tank heaters, myself being one of them; trailblazer being the other. The trick will be in your case accessing the tanks to install the pads.

For commercial use that is exactly pretty much how it' done.

From what I read I also don't believe the belly of the unit is covered. Wouldn't be any real issue to mount the pads and the controls but it should be decently "warm" out to get the pads to adhere as well as possible, believe I read that somewhere..

From http://www.ultraheat.com/install_tank_heater.html:

Outside temperature must be at least 50°F (10°C) when applying tank, pipe and elbow heaters.

Now of course a strategically placed heater/tarp could easily bring the area up to temp for installation.

Are they really this cheap?

I would like to use our black water tank when camping in colder weather (I am making payments on the bathroom 12 months of the year, I would like to use it 12 months of the year).

Just double up in the warm months and you will break even... ;) 8-)
